When I quit my job, this is where I landed — in this space . . . the digital nomad sphere.
It was what I craved, what I chased: to work where I want, when I want, doing what I want. My only prayer was to earn enough to support the lifestyle I risked everything for — maybe even surpass the income I left behind.
A dear friend once told me: life rewards effort. If you put a ceiling on your trajectory, that’s as far as you’ll ever go. Imagine a fifty-floor high-rise, each level separated by a glass ceiling. If you hit the first ceiling but never break through, you’ll remain on the first floor. But if you keep pressing — working harder, working smarter — you can break through floor after floor until you reach your own version of Nirvana. For some, that’s the second floor, and there's nothing wrong with that. For others, the tenth. For me? I’m still climbing.
I’ll be honest: I have weaknesses. My Achilles’ heel is recruiting — it’s a skill that’s dodged me my entire “Be Your Own Boss” life. It limits me, but it doesn’t paralyze me. Because even with my limitations, I’ve built something I wouldn’t trade for a paycheck. I’m free. I’m fulfilled. I’m still growing.
